Each year Art of Problem Solving hosts a ‘Hackathon’ where anyone in the company can form or join a team to build something new in one week. This campaign explores what wild ideas can happen when people from different teams work together. The concept represents our internal structures with illustrated team mascots, or wild animals. They playfully interact with the three phases of Hackathon in unexpected ways (think, build, test). Their joyful, crude nature makes them easy to love. The letters are stacked unusually to encourage people to look at things differently. The cuteness of the overall campaign draws in anyone across departments to participate. Overall the campaign was a success at boosting morale and garnering excitement around prizes featuring team mascots.
